Jake and Katie

What a day. These two got married in Amherst, WI...which is not a metropolis. I showed up with a little time in my pocket, so I decided to have breakfast @ Diane's there in town. Home made toast and jam with two big 'ol eggs for two bucks...beat that! Katie has been sick all week, so she showed up nursing a bottle of Pepto, but remarkably held her own all day and night. I had a blast at some of the coolest little nooks and crannies in all of Wisconsin. The reception was in Point, and it was a party. How do you define a party...there was a boot full of beer being passed around all night...party.

Katie and Jake's Wedding

This is Katie's dad. He's shooting film in a Yashica 120/35mm camera...a man after my own heart. He also has a wonderful beef/lamb/poultry farm where they raise some of the best steak and eggs on the planet. The sell wholesale and retail, so check them out! Prairie Hill Farms

This was probably my favorite image from the day...grandma nursin' champagne bottle.

Kari and Matt

It is not everyday you get an opportunity to shoot an engagement shoot in a blizzard. I bet the rest of you were at home relaxing in your pjs. We had a great time. Believe it or not, Kari and Matt actually like winter. I am looking forward to doing their wedding this May. Hopefully by then it will be a little warmer.

Perfectly sums up the day. Matt was on snowblower duty and Kari was shoveling. Not my favorite task. Staying warm and snuggling inside. Love this one.

Enjoy the show. Be sure to check out Kari's engagement "ring." It is in the garage. My kind of "ring." Actually it is super sweet Aprillia motorcycle.

Garrett

Garrett is a senior at our church, and I had the privilege to hang out with him yesterday and snap some photos in the process. We were shooting at one of my new favorite locals (the box car), and on the way back to the truck...I fell face first in the snow. I did manage to keep the camera out of the snow, but my body took the blow...since I'm 30 now, it hurts a lot more. Garrett enjoyed a Mt. Dew and a messy muffin at Kavarna, while I sucked down some Thai Curry soup and Breve`.

Got to get back to my birthday merriment, so enjoy the show!

Happy 30th Birthday

This is Kelly posting today to wish my wonderful husband a happy 30th birthday from myself and our two girls. I can't tell you how much he means to us. He is an awesome father and husband. We are really fortunate to be able to spend so much time together. We were just talking about last night how we have known each other for over half our lives. I thank God for him every day.

To the rest of you out there Happy Valentine's Day. Here are some recent shots of our two gorgeous girls.

Album Details

Over the past few months, I have been designing quite a few albums. One of the things that I love to do is detail pages. All the details you work so hard on are really worthy of remembering and definitely don't go unnoticed. Your flowers may fade, but you will always have some great pictures to remember them by. I thought I would share some fun detail pages that came to mind as I was going through this. Over the next month or so I will keep posting some of my favorite spreads.

Recycling is Rad

I just got some prototypes for our print and product bags that we are going to be implementing in the coming weeks, and they are o so sweet. The bags are all made from plastic bags that would otherwise fill up a garbage dump. Take a look on Bekah's blog to find something cool for your self. RECYCLING IS RAD

And, I got this super cool laptop bag for my birthday!

Ross and Emily

These two were just a totally cool couple. They have not been able to meet for a consultation, so Sunday was the first time to hang out. Their wedding is in Chicago this summer, and I am super stoked about it. When they suggested meeting at the Alterra on the lake in Milwaukee I knew we were going to get along just fine. Thats about the coolest coffee shop ever, so if you have a chance order a potato breakfast wrap, and cafe breve.

Ross and Emily spent some time in Australia on a mission trip with Campus Crusade for Christ. He proposed on the beach at sunrise with guitar over in Australia. Pretty memorable stuff.

Can you believe that some people actually think you have to have a studio to shoot in the winter time here in Wisconsin, but it can really be quite romantic to get out in the cold.

Super sweet "love" light.

Enjoy the show. You will get to see some of Emily and Ross's cool dance moves. Emily was a dance major in school. Thanks for a great time you guys.

Scott and Amy

Scott is a cousin of clients of ours from a few years back, Rod and Jennifer. It was fun to be able to get to know him and Amy. They are expecting a baby girl this coming May. Amy was a radiant bride.

Feeling the baby kick!
Innocent onlooker.
Enjoy the slideshow. We wish you all the best with married life and parenthood.
