Travis and Stacy

This weekend, Stacy, my cousin, married Travis who she met a little over a year ago. It was a great wedding filled with fun with family and friends. Everyone got to meet Riley who did quite well with all the noise and so many new faces. The flower girl and and the ring bearer appeared to have the most fun as they carved up the dance floor all night long with amazing endurance (they also did quite a bit of kissing as you will see in the show!) Stacy and Travis are off to the Bahamas on a cruise tomorrow. We wish you guys the best. Lots of love and enjoy the show!

Becky and David

How come all the cool places in the world are in the boondocks? What an incredible location to shoot, and the light was made to order. When Kelly told me that Becky wanted to do some running shots, I was quite fearful that I might have to run as well...don't like running that much...but it all worked out. When they took their jog into the lake, I couldn't help but go in with them to "find" a better shot. So, now that my pants are dry...enjoy the show you two.

Amanda and Phillip

With all the engagement sessions I do, I am really starting to see how love manifests itself through the engaged couple. This couple is thoroughly in LOVE! We headed out to Bay Beach, and when it started to get dark on us we headed to Kastle Karts where I know the owner. After a little chit chat, I was able to meander down on the track to get some killer race shots. So remember, when it gets dark in your life...find some go karts. Hope the move goes we'll you guys, and enjoy the show!

Sharon and Brian

These two are very good friends of mine...almost family. I have known Sharon for years, and she is the best makeup artist in the world! It was a pleasure and an honor to shoot this wedding, and I had a crazy good time doing it. It was also pretty sweet meeting family and friends that I had heard so much about over the years, but never got a chance to meet. I wish you both many happy years.

Laura and Justus

Where the heck is Homestead Meadows? After I got lost, I finally stumbled upon this quaint little farm in the woods where Sprecher's root beer is on tap and a bluegrass band is on stage. What an incredible location for a wedding. The images speak for themselves...so enjoy the show.

Adrianna

I got up early again! What's wrong with me? We started hair and makeup at 7:30 and wrapped at 12:30...as you can imagine, I took a few pictures. We covered a lot of new ground in Green Bay, and have some incredible images to show for it. Adrianna is a senior at Bay City, and is planning to become a nurse...super sweet. I am so thankful for all the nurses that helped out with the birth of my newest daughter, and for helping with Kelly's recovery. I think these are some pretty sweet images, so enjoy.

Chad and Katie

I actually got up early for Katie, so I could meet her and the girls at the salon around 9am. It takes a special bride to get me out of bed on a Saturday (or any day for that matter)before 9am, and Katie was so that bride. I had a blast yesterday...got to drive the fastest golf cart on earth, and even wore casual clothes all morning long...my kinda wedding. It did rain, but I think we did a pretty good job of making the best of it. I shot a lot of images as you can imagine, so here is a sampling. Have a good time in Hawaii, and enjoy the show.

Andrew and Melinda

We did the engagement shoot in the middle of winter, and the wedding was on one of the warmest days this year. They had beautiful wedding at Peter and Paul and then we went to a park by UWGB for some lakeside shots. I have never seen so many people piled into the back of a truck, but it makes for a good image. We ended up at the Regency for the reception. The Regency has some awesome architecture, and you always have something new to shoot. Congratulations and enjoy the show.

What's Syd's Take?

Here is an incredible view into the mind of a two year old. In this shot Sydney is watching mommy nurse Riley, and I think it is starting to hit her. I don't know if she understands that this is her sister, and she is about to have a major life change; but I do know that she kinda looks a little scared/intimidated in this shot. More to come!

Riley Jean

Introducing the precious new addition to the Hawkins home. Riley Jean Hawkins was born @ 7:58 am. She weighs 7.3 lbs and is 20 in long. She and mom are doing awesome, and the dad is hanging in there...no, I am super stoked! Thanks for all your prayers.

More pics to come!

Kirstin and Ryan

I kinda felt like we had a fourth person with us all the time tonight...Ryan's Guitar! I thought it might be difficult to squeeze it in...no problem. So, we had a blast in Depere, and I even kept my cool (since were having a baby in the morning)! So, please pray that Kelly and Riley come out of this okay; and I am gonna get some sleep since wakeup is at 4:00 am. Enjoy the show!

Jen and Aaron

First, I have to say that this bridal party (including the bride and groom) were some good times! As soon as the family pics were finished , we jetted off to Jimmy Seas. Some good times there, and then off to East Town Pub. East Town is a sweeet little place, tucked in behind the Walmart, where the Bride and Groom are well known...not too well! The reception was at The Woods and the evening weather was spectacular as you can see in the show. On that note, enjoy!

Sydney is two!!

It is hard to believe that we only just met Sydney two short years ago. She is such a blessing in our lives, and she brings us so much joy. What a fun day we had today from morning to night. Sydney awoke to a new kitchen set complete with accessories. She made us "supper" at about 9 a.m. For lunch we went to Happy Joes with Sydney's very good friend Tessa and followed that up with a trip to the wading pool, another of Syd's favorite hangout spots. Sydney got to spend a little time with Lara, Maddy, Stevie, and David--her favorite babysitters. She finished the day by getting to help decorate her own cake which was a big hit. I enjoyed having a fun day spending time with Sydney. We are very much looking forward to next week, but I know it will bring about some big changes for all of us and Syd will have to share a lot of attention with the new baby. Anyway it was nice to have a day just for her. Here is a slideshow of our day for all who missed it and for Sydney. She loves a good picture of herself! - Kelly

Kim and Corey

I hadn't been to the Botanical Gardens in a while, so the ceremony was quite a treat. We had great weather and it was not too hot. Since Kim's family is from Texas, heat was no problem. We had a great time at St. Brendans shooting tattoos and the like. The reception was simply beautiful. Hinterland Brewery is one of the best restaurants in Green bay, and we had the whole place to ourselves. The night was a fantastic party full of emotion and fun. Enjoy Mexico you two, and enjoy the show!

Katy and Kelley

I had an interesting ceremony, and an incredible day overall with this couple. Pastor Dave, the officiant, ask me to come on stage during the ceremony to photograph the couple and the attendees. So it's pretty cool to have a shot of the bride and groom from the front of the church during an actual ceremony. We also went to their newly renovated house and took some awesome shots inside and out. Kelley carried his new bride through the front door and up the stairs to the bedroom...nice! The Railroad Museum is always a fabulous place for a reception, and there was plenty of food and dancing. Good times all around, and have a good time on the honeymoon you two! Enjoy the show.

p.s. I had to post this super sweet shot.

Preparing the Nest!

Well as you can see, we have been very busy here at the Hawkins household. Riley Jean arrives on the 7th of August so we gotta get moving to prep Syd's room for an extra occupant. The old closet was not too bad, but Kelly is an organizational nut...she gets it from her mom and grandmother. So after giving a small fortune to the Closetmaid company...we got ourselves a nifty little setup.

Also, check out the new occupants in my reef tank! Mark's Coral Reef

Who's daddy's little girl?

Last week was a take it easy week for us here at mhp, but this morning I wanted to do post on the blog with some Sydney pics. She turns 2 in a few weeks.

Philip and Laura

I wanted to try and have the show up earlier today, but the flight home from Pennsylvania was a little long. Travel weddings are sweet, and I enjoy seeing other parts of the country. I was in the metropolis of Geigertown, PA for Laura and Philip's wedding on the big date of 07.07.07, and I had an awesome time exploring the countryside and getting some mark style in with pa background with this fantastic couple. Both families were so hospitable, and they made me feel right at home. I stayed in this super sweet cottage that was right next to a Dunkin' Doughnuts... home away from home. These two were incredibly sweet and crazy in love, so this show has some serious emotion to it. Get out your kleenex and enjoy.

Jacob and Ashley

Wow, I really thought that rain could put a damper on a shoot...not with this couple! We went to Bay Beach and found plenty of shelter to make some awesome images. They brought their nine month old daughter along for cuteness sake. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Cycle Trip

I am finally posting my trip from last weekend. TC and I met at the farm with motorcycles and took off (after fixing some issues on my ride) for Ashland. We were planning on sleeping in a laundry mat or a park bench cause we only brought the shirt on our back, but we chickened out and got a hotel.

Saturday morning we took off for the Apostle Islands and full day of riding. My favorite part about the islands are all the wooden boat builders in the area. This image is a Herroshoff restoration.

We got back to the farm in the afternoon, and I started working on the Bob Job's electrical needs.

Meanwhile TC plasma cut a cast iron heat exchanger out of the basement of the farmhouse.

I put almost 350 miles on my old ride, and she only had a few hickups. Its so awesome to ride to a destination on something you built in your garage.

We had a blast, and I feel ready to go for my wedding in PA this weekend.

Gene, Amber, and Family

Geno is a good friend of mine that is headed into the Marine Corp. So we decided to do some family pics before he leaves. We had a great time at Barkhausen on Thursday afternoon. Enjoy the images.

Jen and Aaron

I know...that's not a face shot. I thought about for a minute, and I realized that the ring shot truly represents the engagement. I also think that this is a super sweet ring shot so here we are.
We headed off to Bayshore park for this one, and we also had a extra special treat this time too. Brennan joined us for some super cool family shots. Hope you guys enjoy the show.

Justus and Laura

So as you see above, I am going a little crazy today. I also did the show myself so I had a little fun in arranging the images out of order...I know I am so living life on the edge! We chased this goose around the park for like five minutes trying to get this plastic thing off that was stuck to her bill...to no avail. Littering sucks by the way. We had a great time so enjoy the memories.

Stacy and Travis

Stacy is family and Travis is about to be. We met up at the farm in Ladysmith while I was on my trip with TC this weekend( post coming later). We did some super sweet field shots, and managed a whip cream fight at brunch. Thanks for making the drive you two, and I hope you enjoy the images.

Terrance and Heidi

To the caves! Maribel Caves that is. Well there aren't any cave shots, but we did do a little tresspassing on the old mansion property. The light was just awesome over on the private property so we just had to do it! I have to say that Terrance made me laugh more on a shoot than I have in long time...thanks. I really hope you guys enjoy the show...I really like the grass shots a lot.

Chris and Ashley

This was a killer wedding. We shot for over 10hrs, and I think we captured some of the best images of our career. I am saying we because Kelly shot the whole wedding with me, and she had a blast! The whole thing was in door county...all over the place, but we ended up at the Alpine in Egg Harbor. What a great place for a reception. We'll, I am going to let my images tell the rest of the story.

Anthony and Alyson

I have never been to Waupaca, but it is pretty cool. The place where we did the shoot was super sweet! It's called the Red Mill, and it's a little wedding chapel/park/giftshop. The crystal river flows through the place, and is stocked full of crawfish...or if your from the south, crawdads. The shots pretty much tell the story of the day...so I hope you two enjoy it.

Katie and Jake

I always think of Sheboygan as the polka capital of the world, but it is actually a pretty cool (albeit hickish)kind of town. We were on the lake for this engagement shoot. There were fish everywhere! We saw a ton of trout and carp, and I even threw in a carp shot in the show. The lake was calm, and the lighthouse was super cool. After the beach, we went to this great micro brewery and they played a little shuffle board. Hope you guys enjoy the show!

Testimonial

I am not a big bragger...okay, yes I am; but this one I couldn't pass up.

Hi Mark & Kelly,

I absolutely love the slide show. I actually went through it so many times last night, that my computer overheated and shut down. I talked to my mom this morning, and she was sitting in front of the computer watching it over and over, and balling her eyes out. You guys are amazing!!

Thank you so much!!

Casie

I love my job!

Ryan and Casie

Well, what can I say about these two? Ryan works at my favorite sports shop...Zellers, and Casie works at my favorite restautrant...Cafe Mario's. These are two important people! We had a blast in Fish Creek, and they even took me to their secret hidout in the woods. We also got on this tour bus trolley and grabed a shot while everyone else was off site seeing. Ryan, I hope you don't think your too dorky...I did my best; and I hope you guys enjoy the show.

Melinda and Dick

This was a special wedding to be a part of. This is basically Sydney's extended family. Kevin, Lara, Maddy, David, and Stevie take care of Sydney when Kelly and I are doing weddings, engagement shoots, consultations, or just need a night out. Lara's brother was getting married this weekend and so it was a priviledge to document a great couple and a great family. We appreciate you guys taking such good care of our sweetie princess. Congratulations Melinda and Dick. Hope you enjoy the show (you might see a few pics of Syd included, but we are a bit partial.)

Sydney's OwWee

You guys know that old rocking chair in our living room? Well Sydney tripped and landed on the rocker part. I know that it doesn't sound that bad, but the gash on her forehead went all the way to the skull..no lie. The nurse is like "yep...that's the skull". So we've been a little on edge here tonight. Now she has to go five days without touching her stiches...good luck.

p.s. I did a black and white because it seemed less painful.
