Nichole

First, let me say that I thought it was going to be a nice warm morning...I guess I didn't get the memo on the cold front. So if it wasn't cold enough already, my sweetie princess pregnant wife locked us out of the car. Why am I being so negative? So I can get that out of the way and tell you about the awesome time we had with Nichole and her mom. They drove down from up north just for pictures, so we had to go to Alpha Delights for some chocolate ganoush hot chocolate. We took a lot of pictures , so I hope you enjoy this little preview.

Jason and Andrea

We had a great time at Lambeau this afternoon. I have never shot an engagement shoot inside or around the stadium...so this was a pretty sweet place. We even got drinks up at Curly's Pub! We'll I hope you enjoy this little slideshow of Andrea and Jason's engagement sesson.

Mike and Amanda

Check out our new locations! We covered the upper east side today with Mike and Amanda, and the warmer weather made this session a blast. Even though Mike is an accountant, I think he's a pretty cool guy. This wedding is coming up in April, so I hope you guys enjoy the show.

megan and parker

I am a little behind on my editing and blogging. We did this shoot a few days ago (gasp), but these pics are worth the wait. Believe it or not, we did this in our friends living room with white paper. I don't need no stinkin' studio. Gotta love it.

Mindy and Rick

It's always fun to do an e-session with friends and family. Mindy and Rick are super good friends with my sister Shelli, so Shelli came along and assisted me. We covered a lot of ground in an hour, and ended up at the coffee shop...big surprise. Congratualtions you two, and I hope you enjoy the show.

Robert and Liz

Good times on this shoot! I got lost on the way to their house, so I was 15 minutes late. That wasn't such a big deal, but Kelly had done the consultation so I didn't have a chance to meet Bob and Liz. So this was my first impression...late...not a good one for a wedding photographer. We had an absolute blast, and notice we didn't even go outside! I hope you guys enjoy the show.

Appreciating Warmth

It was cold on Saturday...in Munising, Michigan...on Lake Superior and the a frozen waterfall...with the howling wind and the driving snow...it was cold and wet. Everyone always ask me why I do all these crazy activities...because I can. When I can't do this stuff anymore...then I will have all the time in the world to be a couch potato.

p.s. - The frozen waterfall has a name: "Sweet Mother of Moses". Thought you'd want to know.

THE NEW MHP SITE IS LAUCHED!!!

*****************************************************************************
It is finally up folks...our new website is ready for the world. I give all the credit for the new site to my incredible wife, and our wonderful web design team @ DIGICOM Productions. There are a few things that are still quarky, but they'll be fixed in a few days.

I really do love the site, and I think it is a great projection of the level of quality and creativness that Kelly and I are committed to.

Thank you all for your help and photographic contributions.

THE NEW SITE

Janelle

Okay, I know we typically do weddings here at mhp, but for friends and former clients...we do the occassional child portrait. I thought this image was super sweet, becaue we shot it in the living room with a small peice of black paper...how cool is that? We had a great time this morning photographing baby Janelle. I hope all the family enjoys the show!

Melinda and Andrew

Can you tell it was 20 degrees in this shot, and very little wind. Yesterday was the warmest day we have had all month, and I jumped on it like Sydney on a animal cracker. We went to the Barkenhausen Park to get some awesome winter scapes, and of course we all know that it's not the location that makes the photography so great...its the couple. Melinda and Andrew were awesome, and we actually stayed warm with the help of some hot chocolate and hot smoochen(not me...them)! They reminded me of why I love what I do so much, and I hope it shows. Sorry to gush and enjoy the show.

You Decide!

I am working on a new project that requires me to pick out some art prints that I have created in the past. I am having a hard time deciding on these sunset images, so I am turning on my comments portion of the blog so you can help me pick. Just let me know if you like #1 or #2 or if you don't like'm at all. Any comments are welcome as long as they are appropriate. Thanks for the help!

Carter

This is Carter Randall Hawkins...maybe. A father can hope...right? I actually would love to have another girl to keep Syd in line, so whatever God sends us is okay with me. It's just...the othernight the girls came out into the garage to here the engine run on my fixer upper motor cycle (it was a big momement in my life). Syd got all scared of the noise (straight pipes ya know), so I been thinking that if I had a boy, he might like a cool motorcycle with straight pipes. It would be sweet to have a third generation wrencher in the family! Whatever...it's all good to me.

Mary's Birthday

I was priveldged this evening to be able to capure a very special birthday celebration. Not everyone has the opportunity to have a 80th birthday, but Mary is 80 going on 18...and she is a wonderful woman. I really felt at home with this group of family and friends, and I hope you enjoy this little show.

Krystal and Matt's Wedding

The above picture was actually a lot easier to capture than it looks...these kids were awesome, and I don't think any of the parents know I took this image. Matt and Krystal's wedding was all about the details: from the dresses, to the ice sculpture, the topiaries, etc. It was the perfect winter wedding. The snow came just in time. Thanks to everyone for being good sports and braving the cold at Doty Park. Hope you guys enjoy the show and have a great time in Mexico.
Congrats!

I thought this was a sweet image of my special girl.

Lindsay and Adam

This was a super cool wedding with great families on both sides. The wedding chapel was cozy, and the reception was awesome. The cheesecake was a great switch from the typical wedding cake. I know this couple will have many good years ahead. Congrats and enjoy the show.

Brittany's Senior Pics

It was 40 some degrees today, and we did an outdoor senior session all over Green Bay. It was a great time with Brittany and the family, and we even managed to be on the five o'clock news. Enjoy your senior year, and enjoy the show!
