Album Details

Over the past few months, I have been designing quite a few albums. One of the things that I love to do is detail pages. All the details you work so hard on are really worthy of remembering and definitely don't go unnoticed. Your flowers may fade, but you will always have some great pictures to remember them by. I thought I would share some fun detail pages that came to mind as I was going through this. Over the next month or so I will keep posting some of my favorite spreads.

Recycling is Rad

I just got some prototypes for our print and product bags that we are going to be implementing in the coming weeks, and they are o so sweet. The bags are all made from plastic bags that would otherwise fill up a garbage dump. Take a look on Bekah's blog to find something cool for your self. RECYCLING IS RAD

And, I got this super cool laptop bag for my birthday!

Ross and Emily

These two were just a totally cool couple. They have not been able to meet for a consultation, so Sunday was the first time to hang out. Their wedding is in Chicago this summer, and I am super stoked about it. When they suggested meeting at the Alterra on the lake in Milwaukee I knew we were going to get along just fine. Thats about the coolest coffee shop ever, so if you have a chance order a potato breakfast wrap, and cafe breve.

Ross and Emily spent some time in Australia on a mission trip with Campus Crusade for Christ. He proposed on the beach at sunrise with guitar over in Australia. Pretty memorable stuff.

Can you believe that some people actually think you have to have a studio to shoot in the winter time here in Wisconsin, but it can really be quite romantic to get out in the cold.

Super sweet "love" light.

Enjoy the show. You will get to see some of Emily and Ross's cool dance moves. Emily was a dance major in school. Thanks for a great time you guys.

Scott and Amy

Scott is a cousin of clients of ours from a few years back, Rod and Jennifer. It was fun to be able to get to know him and Amy. They are expecting a baby girl this coming May. Amy was a radiant bride.

Feeling the baby kick!
Innocent onlooker.
Enjoy the slideshow. We wish you all the best with married life and parenthood.

Ben and Rachael's Senior Session

Here we have Emily, Ben, and Rachael. Love the stoic faces. You can really see they're related. We were tasked with doing the senior pics for Ben and Rachael who are twins (third set of twins this year that we have had the privelege of photographing.) Older sister Emily came along and got in a few shots.

Ben on top his igloo. He actually slept inside on one of these cold nights we have been having.

Love the eyes. Rachael is interested in going into photography possibly. Very cool!

Ben is a ski instructor at Norway Mountain.

Snowball fight!!

Be sure to check out Rachael's cool hand chair in the slideshow. She painted it to suit her style. Thanks guys for braving the cold to get some great images. Enjoy your senior year.

Gorgeous Details

It has been quite along time since we posted. It looks like we have been relaxing at the Hawkins's house. Actually, we have been staying pretty busy. We have been designing like crazy-mostly albums. Maybe over the next few weeks I will post some of my favorite spreads. Above is actually a design that will become our new thank you cards. I love details, and this shows off some great details from this past wedding season. Mark is shooting a senior session on Monday so check back to see some great images.

Something to blog about

We'll, this is the time of year where Kell and I sit back and recoup for the upcoming season...I wish. This is the time of year that we work our tail ends off so we can have more sanity throughout this upcoming wedding season. I am not taking any shoots right now, since all my gear is sent off to Canon to be fixed, cleaned and brought up to factory specs...as all professionals should do in the "slow" times. There is something to blog about though...I made it into this seasons issue of Wisconsin Bride Magazine in a write up about our town Green Bay. So here is a glimpse of the shots they used, but if you want to read the article you'll have to pick up a copy.

FYI: If your still waiting to get a photog or you have just got engaged and are planning a wedding for this year...you better act fast 'cause there are only a few spots left in the 'ol calendar for 2008.

Don't forget about our Birthday Special!

Tommy and Jesse's Wedding

Yesterday, we posted the engagement shoot and here is the wedding that followed the next day. The Four Seasons is a great place to have a wedding or any party for that matter...especially in the winter. For the record...winter weddings rock! So here is one that I think your gonna like.

Jesse and Tommy's Engagement

This was my last engagement/wedding(to follow) of the year, and we did it with a bang! The engagement shoot was on Thursday and the wedding was on Friday up north at The Four Seasons Resort in Pembine. What a couple. . . Jesse is silent but deadly, and Tommy is brimming with life. They have a wonderful baby daughter JJ who is quite mobile for her age. We had an awesome couple of days with them, and I hope you enjoy the show.

AJ and Alissa

We have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. Alissa and AJ are good friends and good people that are awesome to be around and party with. We started at Escape and ended up at the Swan Club, and it was a whirlwind in the middle. I have to say, that I have spent more time at Shenanigans than any other pub in Green Bay...this should be wedding party pub of the year or something! What a great day, and here are some great memories.

Alissa and AJ's Wedding

p.s. It was super cool to see most of Alissa's class at her wedding...they should totally get extra credit!

Adam and Jessica

Adam is my(Kelly's) third cousin to get married in the last three months. Jessica and Adam planned a Cinderella inspired/themed wedding. I think that their success can be summed up by Sydney's comment that Jessica was Princess "Rella." We had a lot of fun hanging out with family and friends. I have to say Adam pulled off Prince Charming pretty well, too. Lots of love to you both. They are off to Jamaica in a few days. Which will be a nice change after a chilly wedding.

P.S. I just couldn't resist posting this sweet moment between Sydney and Daddy. It is not too often I catch Mark in front of the camera.
